Nicole Delacort

Nicole Delacourt

Fighter Pilot

French

Nicole joined with 508 Squadron of the British Auxiliary Air Force in the May of 1940 under the foreign pilot act, and fought with them through the Battle of France to defend her country.

Fiery, fiesty, and spiky are words that have been used to described Nicole. She can be quick to lose her temper, and slow to cool down if she's been rubbed up the wrong way. She's also a loyal friend, and would give everything she had, her life included, for Harriet.

Nicole is an orphan who moved to live with her grandparents, Claude and Magritte, when her father died in flying accident in French Indochina. He was a Captain in the French army, and a pilot like his father before him, Claude, who was a fighter ace in the Great War. Nicole's mother died in childbirth.

From the age of 11 Nicole was taught to fly by her grandfather, but not before she'd learned how to repair and maintain every part of the old Nieuport biplane he taught her in. By the time she reached 508 Squadron she had hundreds of hours flying and navigating, and was a skilled aircrat mechanic.
